RETURNING to Sydney for one night only is one of hip-hop’s fastest rising and critically acclaimed producers - ERIC LAU (UK)! Grindin Music and Funkdafied have teamed up once again to host the return of Eric Lau who will be providing nu soul, jazz and hip hop revelers with a DJ set at The Burdekin (1st Level) on MAY 26TH, 2012.
Supporting DJ’s on the night will showcase a talented pool of music aficionados who have worked tirelessly over the years by their own merits, developing and cultivating Sydney’s niche music community providing a strong thread of music parties, festivals and events for us to enjoy.
The night will feature DJ’s FRENZIE, HUWSTON, JC (FUNKDAFIED) and CMAN for a night of quality music one searches the depths of dusty basements, locked in vaults that are only stumbled upon through endless digging in crates (or illegal downloading).

![UK Soul legend Omar live in Sydney this November
Funkdafied are proud to announce that Soul legend Omar will be performing at the Oxford Arts Factory, Sydney with a Full live band on the 10th November 2012.
For the first time in Australia, this promises to be a very special evening, tickets will go on sale at 9 AM on Friday 24th August through Moshtix.
“When I grow up I wanna be like Omar”, Stevie WonderInternationally acclaimed Soul singer/song writer and multi instrumentalist OMAR LYE FOOK, known as Omar, is a classically trained musician crafting his skills in piano, percussion and trumpet. Omar’s discography articulates a man of quality control with a career spanning over 22 years, 6 albums, 14 singles and collaborative joints mostly accomplished with friends or those who were a fan of his music.

The support act on the night we be the amazing local Sydney Soul singer Milan with her full live band. At the tender age of 22 years old, Milan has been described as a seasoned soul performer, mature in tonality, musicianship and expression, teetering at the edge of international recognition. Drawing influences from Blues, Jazz, Soul, Reggae and Hip Hop, her sound has been compared to the likes of Lauryn Hill, India Arie and Erykah Badu, with lyrical content refined, sophisticated and thought provoking. This singer/song writer has developed a unique sound delicately weaving smooth vocals over a mixture of edgy guitar riffs and intricate solo’s that will leave even the most experienced guitarist a run for their money.
