OZ Soul Collective pushing the soul movement in Australia
On Sunday April 3rd 2011 at Tone there is an exciting event in the world of soul, R&B, funk & hip hop for Sydney siders. Tone will be holding the OZ Soul Collective Sydney Showcase, which will see 20+ Australian artists & musicians from all the genres and sub-genres of Soul/Urban music coming together to push the soul movement in Australia.
What does this mean? It means they need your support to come along and help change the Soul/Urban scene here in Australia and push all the great talent we have here in our little music scene to the big wide world out there.
From a successful run of showcases since its inception last year, in what is unofficially Australia’s cultural & arts capital - Melbourne, the Oz Soul Collective is now a reputable platform for local and national artists to perform their original music to sold out crowds and has been strengthening the scene through community.
It’s time to show that Sydney has soul too!
Performing on the night will be the home-grown talents of Jade Macrae, Darryl Beaton and The D1 Cartel, NFA Jones, Ngaiire, Mirrah Reflects, Cazeaux O.S.L.O, Ella Thompson, Syreneyiscreamy, Alphamama & The Love Drug, Radical Son, RUNFORYOURLIFE, Rachael Berry, Candice Monique, Jess Harlen, LOTEK, Bella Kalolo and many more.
Check the flyer above for more details! This should be a big night in the Sydney music scene and one that’s going to herald a big step forward for soul music in Australia.
